I made a blog schedule, but I have lost it again! I think that today might have been preparedness update? I made a list of things to look for in second hand stores ( Goodwill and Savers as it were...) Second Hand Stores sounds so much more classy! ha! I also printed and starting filling out ID pages on each member of the family, so that in case one of us gets lost in a disaster...
So, on the mitten front... I sewed them last night. The first set came out OK, the ones that had the clean edge... The opening is bigger, but the form that they took is not as pleasing. The second set, well the opening is smaller, and I can hear stitches rip every time I put them on, but the form is nicer. I am not sure how they came out different? I was unable to add the running stitch I wanted to add, they just didn't lend themselves to it...
I plan to make another set, out of a blue sweat that I have, but I am not sure what changes I should make, so it might be a while with me sitting with the mittens sitting in front of me until they "speak" to me...
Today I have been watching all of the old episodes of ThreadBangers that I have in the computer, so that I can decide what to keep and what to toss...So far there are not a lot that I want to keep. I guess that is good. There are things that I want to make, but all I do is write down a brief description of what it is and I think that I will remember.
Well, I guess that is it... I could post the pics of the mittens, but they are not loaded on this computer... I will post them later...maybe, no promises!
Lastly, here are my socks for the day. I have decided that I am The Grrrl With The Crazy Socks!
