New Years eve 2011

Hello all, hope that you are well this last day of 2011. I am glad and sad to see it go. This year My Grrrl and I found our way back to each other a few times. So, I am glad to see it go because we had to find our way back, but sad, because we did in fact find our way. This year, I got a new job, got a raise, I have my own office, I learned to knit, I really took an interest in my family history and am currently working on that, with the help of my "leaves". I also have become interested on Green Witch Craft. I have many books that I am reading to learn more, and I am liking what I see and read. This is just up my ally and all of the things that I am learning are seeming more and more like common sense to me. I am sure that is not that way to everyone, that is why this is good to me. This next year, I want to eat better and exercise more. Isnt that everyones resolution every year? I dont mean more fruits and veggies, and I mean less crap! LOL... I drink way to much soda... That is a biggie and if I could cut it out, or just down.. That is how I lost so much weight last time I lost so much weight... Today is My Grrrls birthday. She is 36 years old now. It is also my Dad's 6th dead day. My Grrrl and I went out and had a nice lunch and shopping and now, I am getting ready to go laundry. I took a anti anxiety med in Target and I am fading... maybe no laundry? Found some more people in my tree, including a Ewing (like 5 generations back on my moms side...you know, like in Dallas, the Ewing family, J.R. Ewing... who shot J.R.? Dear Dad, 6 years ago you passed away. I miss you very much today and every day. I have taken up the family history. I have found your ancestors all the way back to London and France and Ireland. I am enjoying finding all of this information, but I wish that I had you and your research beside me. Know that we all love you, and you are here with us all of the time. Tomorrow is the 6th anniversary of the passing of my father. He is missed very much. He died on My Grrrl's birthday... What an asshole... For those of you that knew my father, you know that is no insult. For those of you that didn't know him... Trust me, that is not an insult! :) As odd as it sounds, hearing him called that makes me smile. So, there you go! Today is a short day again, yeah! My Grrrl and I might go to the library tomorrow to visit the Genealogy section. That should be fun! Also, since it is her birthday, maybe she will want to do something? If all she wants to do is relax, then that is what we shall do! I would like to go to the store that she found on line last night, so that we can get the last few things for our Alter. I have ben crazy busy today. When I have a second to breath, I have been looking at hints on Ancestry.com. I am lovin' it!

 

Last night, My Grrrl and I got some stuff for our Alter, and Shrine. I got Tarot cards, and we compared our cards. We tried to watch Apollo 18, but since I had been up since 3:00 a.m., I was tired, so we gave up around 9:30ish. I think it was that late... Probably not, probably much earlier!

 

We might go look at things at a shop My Grrrl found online, that will be fun, if I am not beat again. I am already the kind of tired where I could just lay my head on my desk and go to sleep, deep sleep too, not just a nap! I am sure that I will be refreshed when I see My Grrrl, I was yesterday! :)

Christmas Eve, 2011

Happy Christmas Eve! I have decided that even though I don't celebrate Jesus as a savior, I can deal with celebrating his birthday. Especially if it means I get gifts! Lol Yummy dinner last night at Mt. Fuji! Steak and lobster, yeah baby! Now, football, Denver on one TV and the Giants on the other... Later, the Cowboy, not sure I will get to watch it... I have the app, so it'll be ok... gonna wear my jersey either way! Gifts tonight, and hanging out tomorrow, then home on Monday, work on Tuesday... I enjoy vacation, but I am glad that I enjoy the job I have to go back too. The next weekend is a four day weekend, I plan on relaxing and just hanging out, I need a mental vacation! We got about a foot of snow last night, what a night! We still went shopping today. If this was Albuquerque, the whole town would have been shut down! My Grrrrl's step mom took us to Kohl's, got new jeans, gotta love that! Tonight, dinner and Big Bang Theory, and, of course, family togetherness...might be a little sarcasm intended there...lol! I am, maybe lucky, maybe not, not feeling well, due to some tummy issues... Tomorrow, the movies, and dinner out, maybe the fairly togetherness wi ll start later tomorrow! I showed off some of my sites and skills to my step mother in law. I found her dad on findagrave.com. He past in March, I was surprised he was on there already. I don't know where my dad's ashes are. His widow fences the issue when I bring it up. I would like to make him a resting place in my courtyard, even if it is only symbolic...his death day anniversary is soon, maybe we can have a death day party for him, and dedicate something for him, but that really isn't enough time to put something together that would be deserving of him, and vice versa! Started on my new organizing system. Didn't get far. Turned out to be a VERY busy day at work. My boss is letting me leave a day early since the roads will be bad Thursday. I have the best boss ever!!!

 

So, I may or may not bog between now and next Tuesday. I will be at my in-laws and I am not sure how that will work, last time we were there, my iPad would barely get online! Grrr!

The other day I had a brilliant idea about how the tree is the most perfect thing in nature and I was totally going to write about it, and now, now, now, I cannot really remember any of it! Bullox! LOL, I don't know if that is the way that it is spelled,but I am watching a movie about Tony Blair, and I know that I am using it right! :)

So, a busy day, an early day, a snowy day and now all I want is to go home and enjoy the snowy weather in bed with My Grrrl. On the other hand, I know in my heart of hearts that I WOULD CRASH HARD!!! I am so tired! I am also very stuffy, so I cannot breath, so that would make it even harder to stay awake! I am going to use my netty pot when I get home, YUCK! Then I will feel better, after the grossness of using the nettypot! Again, I say YUCK!

I have done a lot of planning and rearranging of information in my family tree project, mostly because I am somewhat stumped on how to go about breaking it down next.I have so much information and some of it is confusing as to how to organize and display it. Next attempt will be PowerPoint slides printed in quarters and glued to index cards, and then placed in binder rings, so that they can be rearranged, and more info can be added...


Well, back to it now, I might leave early if I can, to go home and enjoy My Grrrl!

Cara made it to Tennessee, with some drama in Dallas, but she made it! Yeah!

Went to lunch with my sister, that was nice. Came hme and picked up my mess in my part of the room, had a panic attack, tools some mess My Grrrl gave me, and crashed hard in My Grrrls lap! Not a bad way to go!

Rob went with my sister and her man to hang out and play the Wii! I'm sure that he is having fun!

Woke up, now we are wat hung Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart! Yeah!

I did my first candle ceremony today. It was private and quiet, but that is what I like about this, it can be...

Now, with yummy chicken tacos in my belly, I am going to crochet sme more on the blanket that I started for My Grrrl over a year ago! I'll get it done SOME DAY!

Lots going on today! Actually cracked open one of the books that I checked out for family research it is , due in three days...I found some awesome free web sites. I have registered at one of them, and am happily plugging along. I found My Grrrl's paternal grandfathers entry in the S.S. death index! Wow! I have the fire back in the search for my family tree with these new resources!

 

Anyhow, that is really all that I have for today, I have to leave work early to take Cara for her cast removal, and I am not coming back in, so there you have it, actually have to work today! LOL

Then my awesome mother in law is coming over to make enchiladas for Cara's sports med pot luck! Lucky duck!

 

Tonight is Big Bang Theory! LOVE THAT SHOW!!! Friday is blood work, work work, basketball, maybe some Piggy's, if time permits, Saturday is running running, and taking Cara to the airport, nervous about that, but I know that she will do great! Sunday I am meeting my sister for lunch, recent development, last few minutes in fact... to discuss the holidays and our crazy mother... Then a short work week, the VACATION!!! Which sometimes is more work than work! But we strive to make it joyous! Even if it is just when we hide in our bedroom! LOL! Nothing dirty intended! Then another short work week, and the New Years Holiday weekend, and possibly a super hero movie marathon! WOOHOO!!!

Busy day today. Lots of meetings right now... Lots of food...ugh! I messed up and forgot to send a reminder to one of the people who needs to be here. Ooops

Early out tomorrow, Cara's cast removal, hopefully, if not, a recast.

Lots going on between now and next week when we leave. Ahhh, basketball games, parties, work, planning, laundry date, packing....

Well, I better go now, back to the grindstone. After my next meeting, I am going to hide in my office for my "lunch". Maybe I'll knit!

Hope My Grrrl is ok, she went to go to Urgent Care for her hips... Poor baby... I hope that she gets some answers, or at least a path to go down that will get her answers.

Today is rainy and the sort of day that I wish that I could be in bed with my baby and knit and watch TV, and doze!

 

My mentor just invited me to lunch, I am stoked! I am so sad to see her go, but yesterday, my boss asked me if I had applied for that job. I was blown away that she would even think that I was up to that standard! I told her so, she said I rock and I could totally do it... Wow, and the compliments just keep on coming! :) BIG SMILE!

 

Tonight is knitting class, I hope like hell some people show up, only have 5 RSVP's so far, 1 no, a three "maybe if the weather holds" which it won't because all of those ladies live in the mountains, better to be safe at home than here and sorry! However, the teacher said she will be there, she is even bringing some of her co-workers! I am hoping that she will have the time to teach me to purl. I am excited about that and I have NO FLIPPIN IDEA WHAT IT IS!!! LOL!

 

Tonight, My Grrrl and I are going to make a necklace for my mentor as a going away present, that will be nice I think she will like it! I hope that she will.

 

Anyhow, a few more things to get done before I go to lunch!

 

I can't wait for this week to be over! Is it wrong that I kind of want Cara to go live with her Dad, and I want her to go now? She is so draining sometimes. I love her, but if I cannot make her happy, and she thinks that her Dad can, then how would it be fair? Oh, I don't know, she is my favorite too, so I am really stumped, but I have gotten so used to going up to my room after dinner and such, and being available that way, but that is not enough for Cara, and that sucks... Grrr...

 

Oh well, My Grrrl is right, she has to finish out the school year here. Maybe that will be enough time for both of us to change for the better....I do want to be more available, I do want Marie to come under control and stop being a jerk, we all want that. I just don't know what to do, and I make grandiose plans and I cant keep them sometimes...I am just so tired and I need a break from all of them. What I would not give for a vacation, just me and My Grrrl...maybe next spring we can go away for the weekend to the cabin for our anniversary? That would be awesome! I will have to see about making that happen. I want to go to the cabin a lot with the kids, but just me and My Grrrl would be nice too!

Happy Monday to all! Had a nice talk with one of my co-workers about ex-husbands. I thought that I had it bad.. Poor lady.

Anyhow, someone somewhere is baking cookies here in my area. WHAT? How is that possible? It smells so good! Tonight, My Grrrl and I are going to "get our hair did" we are going to frost our hair! Woohoo, quality time.

This weekend has been rough. Friday night, therapy with Cara, that SUCKED. Then a dinner with Cara, that was better. Saturday, running ALL DAY! Nana's pizza party, Oma Rea's tree decorating, Saturday night we watched a movie in the living room, but we didn't even make it through it. We watched Inglorious Bastards. It got boring, we bailed!

Sunday, I was up all freaking day, I watched Avatar with Cara and Robert. Then, football with My Grrrl, and then my game, which I lost... LAME! Knitting all the way!

Today, I found out that Cara will not have to travel that far when she changes plans on the way to Tennessee, I guess that I will need to do the way back too? If she is coming back. I have a feeling that she will decide while she is there that she doesn't want to come back. I have to say that I have mixed feelings about that...Don't really want to go into it, but I somewhat look forward to a "break" so to speak...

No blog today. I have a sinus infection and I am REALLY feeling it today. I started a Zpack lat night, and I think that my body is fighting against getting better... UGH!

Last Night

OMG, I almost forgot... Last night, My Grrrl and I went grocery shopping, and on the way home, there were jokes made, that lasted ALL NIGHT!!! We Face Booked about it, and one of her friends, and her cousin saw it and "participated" in it. It was hilarious. Now, I CANNOT tell you what it was, just that it was SO VERY INAPPROPRIATE!!! I wanted to try and move it here, but it is so complicate, trying to get everyone's names changed to "protect the innocent" as it were...LOL

 

I had a great time laughing with My Grrrl. I am not sure what has changed in our lives, in our household, in our bubble, but things have been nicer than normal the last few days. I think that it has to do with a conversation that we had the other night, a hard conversation for bot of us, but worth it, it would seem... Who knows where our path will lead us, as long as we stay together on the path... :)

 

Well, sorry to tease you about the joke, but, just take my word for it, it was funny!

Didn't get around to blogging yesterday. Super crazy day, This morning started out the same way! I spent the morning cleaning up messes I didn't cause. I feel a little bad, because I could have caught the mistake, but, as this is not my show, I don't really know what I am supposed to catch. And everything is easier to see in hindsight...

 

So, I did more than my "regular" work out already today. I put regular in quotes, because while I want to work out regularly, stepping during The Big Bang Theory... I rarely do it, and this week, not at all, because My Grrrl and I are both so tired and run down... Ugh! I did run around a bunch yesterday as well, so I guess I had my work out yesterday too! :)

 

Today, I spent all that time, and then I looked at the clock and it was only 9:25... Bummer, felt like it should have been like noon! Oh well... I have stuff to do, and so I guess that I better get on it!

 

Lots of holiday stuff still to finish...I think that I will work on some of it tonight. Just piddly things, but I am so beat at the end of the day, that I don't feel like it! Like all things, I guess that I better just start, I always, well usually, feel better about things once I start them...

 

Oh, I just realized that My Grrrl and I are supposed to go into therapy with Cara this weekend... Gross... Not looking forward to that AT ALL...Maybe she will choose the Upward Bound Pizza Party instead! That will give us a reprieve of like 3 weeks! We can only hope, right!? WOOHOO! She chose the party, so NO Therapy and Dion's pizza! Lucky me, lucky us!

 

Well, that is good! Anyhow, I better get back to it. Lots to do lots to do!

Today is St. Nicholas Day. We celebrated this in Belgium. I remember singing the song that Santa sings to the Dutch girl in Miracle on 34th street. I remember doing a performance with the kids in my school, in the church in our village. It was packed, and I remember the burlap bag of chocolate coins and sticks we got. I wish that I had some clogs to have left out last night! Well, I have tiny ceramic ones ion my shadow box!

Only 15 days and a wake up until we go to Denver! And, the pajamas that I found for "the kids to give to me" (LOL) still fit, despite my late night snacking habit of late... So, YAY!

It is still cold, no snow like we were threatened with. My Grrrl is sick in bed, I hope she is in bed. I hope that she will be better soon, I hope that she will understand why I could not stay home and take care of her today.

Well, that is all, my break is over now, so I better get back to it. I am doing someone else's job today, on top of my own... Grrr!

No serious blog today. Got in late, due to the weather. School is closed today, and there is a terrible storm out there, not really that bad at this moment, cold and windy, but from what I can see the worst is ahead of us...Maybe I will get snowed in tomorrow?! We can only hope!

 

Anyhow, I have a ton of Monday things to get done, and I am feel like I am running up an icy hill where all of it is concerned! Yikes!

 

Anyhow, that is that, might have time to work on the family tree tonight, I did read some on the bus, but I didn't really learn anything new... I still have to finish sourcing the rest of my power point, just when I think that I have done it all, I see that I have not... Oh Joy! So, I might do that... who knows...

Had a lovely night last night. Stayed up late watching movies. Nice time with My Grrrl. Felt more connected than we have in a while. Stoopid life getting' in the way! Anyhow, it was nice!

Today, watched a coupon show with Cara. Now, football until Rob is done with lunch, then maybe back to bed for a while. Up to early...Cara is in bed sick now. :(
We might go to My Grrrls mommas house? Who knows!

I cant believe that my Cowboys are currently the division leaders! Hope they kick butt today!

Well, now I'm babbling! Got all of the gifts that we have here wrapped, oh wait, there are a few more things... I'll get those soon.

That is all for now, two and half weeks till vacation! I am determined to make my vacation relaxing! Even if it means I'm self medicated! Lol!
