Martenslinde

Martenslinde is a village and former municipality in Belgium in the south (North Hesbaye) of the province of Limburg (Arrondissement Tongeren). Martenslinde in 1977 merged with the city Bilzen. The parish church is dedicated to St. Martin. The choir's fourteenth-century. In 1892 the nave of the present church was built. In the church a new organ was then placed, a Pereboom & Leijser from Maastricht. In 1934 on the site of the old cemetery the aisles were added. The old tombstones (Nulens 1669) and Lemmens (1769) were removed from the church and at the rectory in the cemetery placed.
