I've been crazy busy at work, and at home. Not always good, but busy. Going on vacation in the morning, probably won't blog again till wednesday. Have a safe 4th of July.

Another day in paradise. Only if you smile and make people believe that, right?

This weekend sucked, today there is still a hng over from it, on ALL parts. And there are still lingering resentments? questions? Anxities? Unpsetednesses? All I know is that there is a funk and I don't understand why it is still there? I thought that things were resolved, but it would seem not...I hate this and I am worried that this will follow us on vacation. She says she is a "good actress". How then, I am supposed to know that that is not what I am getting? Because she will tell me so, and I must work hard to have faith in her, and in our love and lives together. So, I will, because I must. It is not easy, and I feel like poop. I know that She does too. That sucks, who wants to be sick on vacation? Ugh.

Anyhow, time to start clearing out for the day...Not much to blog. Today is foto day? I have some awesome pics from the fire in the Bosque. I will post those seperatly, later.

Oh, I made some skirts, I will post pics of those for re purpose or die day, because they are made out of scraps, and TOTALLY AWESOME!!!

Haven't blogged since Wednesday. My Grrrl went out Thursday, so did I, separately...Friday was a long day, doctors appointment for Cara, work, came home, bad bad bad bad rest of the night. Ended on a GREAT note. Saturday Was, on and off. Didn't get to sew. Bad evening. Today is Sunday, I got to sleep in, for me... I got up a sewed, made 3 skirts! Now. I am. Back in bed with My Grrrl, watching Planet 51, munching on pretzels, and just tying to stay cool in advance of today's drive to Socorro to take Cara to tech, UGH, I hate the effing heat!

Today WILL be a better day, it has to be, I don't think that any of us could take another bad day...

Got up early. Got moving early. Thought that the 620 bus would be nice and empty... WRONG, lol!
I can't believe how many people don't want to sit next to someone else, and how many sit on the outside so they are taking up two seats. Oh well.

Almost to work now. Long day ahead of me. Yesterday was the summer solstice. We planned to have fire-time and havenYvette over. Maybe she has figured it out now? Either way, that didn't happen. Nice quiet night. :)
I carefully picked music for my iPad. Still hear songs i don't wanna hear!

FOUND EM'

These pics are from way back in 2006, I think. In was hot one night, to hot to be allowed. So I took a white sheet from the cabinet and made this "dress". I wore the heck outta that thing! Even had one of My Grrrls friends ask me to make her one... I did it too, outta Harry Potter sheets. It wasn't as good as mine, since, as this blog points out...all my best creations are by accident!

Anyhow, here goes my attempt at attaching them!
There we go...know what's funny? my Grrrl will probably be able to tell when this was taken, based on the room decor! Thats My Grrrl!!!

Let's see. My scarecrow fell over and smooshed some corn stalks... That sucks, stoopid wind.

Not much has gone on, My Grrrl and I re purposed some clothes from Good Will... Haha, that is fancy talk for I got a dress at Good Will! I got a sheet to make a dress. Won't be something that I can wear to work, but I have to get good before I can make those kinds of sheet dresses! haha! It's a long way from the sheet dress that I made way back in like 2006. I'll see if I can find a picture.

So, not much on the re purposing front. Let's see, we use the pool water to water the plants when we switch the water. I know that we should not switch the water very often, usually once a week, but that filter doesn't do that much against the 6 sometimes 7 to 8 of us, and sun screen, etc!

I want to sew this weekend, OH WAIT! I have one... I got an old book at good will... Fodor's Scandinavia 1974. I was born in 74, and I am going to re purpose it into a sort of journal. I got this idea from lots of sources. I am going to make 100 1 minute stories, or I might tweek that too, the name I mean. Anyhow, I have stickers that won't get used anywhere else, I have song lyrics and such, I am going to write and paste and sew, yes sew, right into the book. Hoping that it will take a year. Maybe that will be my goal. Each week for a y ear to do "something" in the book, and see where it and I am at the end of a year! There you go...See you in a year with the book, I'll be back here before that, I hope!

So, I tried 2 times yesterday to post that it was Father's Day, and I miss my Dad. It didn't take. Wonder why not. Strange... Anyhow, it was, and I did, and I still do...


Today, my bus didn't come, so I had to wait for the next one, super full it was. Something must have happened to mine that all of the people were on one...I wrote a brilliant blog on the bus, and when I went to save it, I accidentally deleted it. Maybe it wasn't that brilliant, I just imagine that it was, since there is no way to dispute it!

I said some stuff that was scary to say, and maybe that is why I deleted it "accidentally"?

Anyhow, today is foto fun day. I will get some added this afternoon. I took some neat shots of my son's shirt in the pool... :)

Saturday June 18th, 2011... Isn't it funny

Isn't it funny that I got two emails today, very different emails. One was from a blog that I subscribe to, about zero waste living, something that I am all about, as much as I can be...todays blog was about getting rid of your extra art supplies. Anything that you don't have a project for right now. Then, I got an email from one of my craft sites, it sends like 15 projects a day, and TODAY'S blog was about... USING THE STUFF YOU HAVE AROUND THAT YOU DON'T HAVE A PROJECT FOR RIGHT NOW! I like that message better. WAY BETTER!

Today, after all the stuff I HAVE to do, I am gonna sew! I have a neat skirt I wanna make. I have on a skirt that I made last summer that I forgot about. It is red white and blue. Cara told me my skirt looked nice, and i ask her if she was making fun of me! She didn't know it was homemade. That is awesome!

I just got off the phone with My Grrrl. I love talking to her about nothing and stuff, and such!

OMG, is it really only 1130? I'm hungry, hurry up time, pass faster!

More farm frenzy I guess until Cara's appointment is over! :)

There is an "oldies" station on in here, and it is kinda sad how many of these songs i know, dining along without even realizing it!

No blog today. Left work early, not feeling well. Came home to My Grrrl and niece.

Now, dinner with kids, daughters bf, and our friend and her kiddo. Should be nice, gonna watch Gnomio and Juliet.

Nice quiet weekend. I hope. Gotta take daughter to therapy,and go see Nana, and weed the garden. My sunflowers are scary big! Blooms waiting to bloom on my trumpet vine, soon my pretty! Lol

I guess that the weather, and crazy hours have finally gotten to me? I need a weekend off...going to Denver for the fourth of July. Won't be calm, but nice yes...

Craft Fair Update Day... Don't really have anything. I want to work on stuff this weekend. The tea cup bird feeders that I made are in the garage, just waiting on the chain, or other way to hang them. Still working on that one. I have some other ideas for the other pieced of china I have left. Lazy Susan type deals, but I need to research those a bit more.

I have come up with a name for my booth, or my line, or my "stuff"...but I need to research it more to see if it is taken already, it is such a clever name, that I am almost sure I am not the first person to think of it! Yep, just as I thought, lots of people have already used it in blogs, etc, and variations of it as well... even copy righted... Bummer! Wow... All variations are taken. I came up with a great idea. So great, that other people already thought of! ha ha! OK, back to the drawing board!

Maybe, I just go with Milsty? I have been using it already, so... I guess, for now, that is it. I copyright Milsty. so it is done, so mote it be. HA! NOT TAKEN!

OK, well that is all for now. Gonna get down to the business of the day...

Today is the 2nd anniversary of grampma Miller's passing. Sad day to be sure. Sad funk seems to be over the entire city.

Had lots of stuff to do at work, day went fast, thanks to Cara. Left to take her to UB, then back to work, then back to get her from UB, back to work, then out early to take her to therapy. Good grief I hope that she doesn't pull me in! Don't wanna go, I will, but I don't wanna.

Last night was not pleasant. Parts of it were, got to play n the garden a bit, and weeding with Cara, but a fight with My Grrrl was bad. My head was hurting so bad, and it just got worse. On the verge of tears. Terrible!

Hope like hell that tonight is better. Had hurt on and off today. Wanted to try and go to Lobo Care, but it never got bad enough, and I never had time...

I need a glass of water SO bad!

OMG, they have some radio station in this waiting room, it is the sound track of my freshman year. Totally taking my ear buds out to listen. Right now they are playing...oh, who is it? With the Wilson sisters and that blonde that married one of the Baldwins... SHOOT! This is gonna bug me until I figure it out! I texted My Grrrl. She'll know or she will look it up!

Wilson Phillips? Can it be that simple? I think so... For the record I wrote that before she texted back. She hasn't texted back yet...

Today is Tuesday... garden... SHE JUST TEXTED BACK...NI WAS RIGHT!!!

So, Tuesday. Garden day? Nope, actually re purpose or die day... Funny, I just finished that bag I was making, I finished it this morning. I just fabric I had in the spare pile (mountain) and I used Marie's old jean legs bottom and the handles. TOTALLY AWESOME!!!

I didn't get pics this morning to post, but I will get some tonight and post them later!

Well, I guess that is it.

I'm beginning to think that my best creations aren't always accident, but "Devine Inspiration"... Oh, that is a good one... that is my new craft name... I, hereby lay claim to that nameth...

Today is THE birthday day. Today is my first best friend in America, Heather's birthday. Today is my best friend from high school and the girl my daughter is named after, Cara's birthday. It is also one of the best nurses I ever worked with, Jason's birthday. I am pretty sure that today would have been my maternal grandfather's birthday as well. Lot's of birthdays. Nothing really to say about that, just that today is a birthday rich day!

So, it is Monday, that is  Foto Fun day I believe. Problem is that none of the pics that I took at the parade, or of the sun and moon in this crazy cloud cover are accessible. I will email one in later, when I have a minute. I have to say, about the sun in the smoke haze. Pictures DON'T, CANT do it justice. At least mine don't...


I do have a craft to report. I made some scrub shorts, I think that I already mentioned that... Anyhow, I am going to embroider on them. Oh, shoot, I think that I mentioned that too? Well, I actually got the supplies together, they are in my backpack! That really is half the battle! Not the bigger half, but half nonetheless. Yeah, I know, that makes no sense!

Had a good weekend. We went to the Pride parade saturday morning, and then My Grrrl and I went to the festivities at the fair ground, then lunch at IHOP. It was nice, we are both sunburnt and dehydrated, and tired and sore. Last night we crashed early. Today I got up and weeded for 2 hours. My hands are sore, my fingers are blistered! Then the kids and I went to Nana's with lunch. Took the girls to the mall, came home, then My Grrrl and I went to our favorite thrift store, Nd Joanns Fabrics to get the stuff so Gramm can make the baby quilt for Jeff's baby. Then to get incense, home, rest for a while, dishes, dinner, more resting. We were gonna go get a Rug Doctor, but as I type this, My Grrrl is sleeping peacefully, and she needs it cuz she fell down the stair yesterday, she is sore on top of all the stuff from the parade, etc, so, I won't be waking her!

The kids are watching TV, and I am about to go switch laundry so we can put on fresh sheets, then off to bed. Big day tomorrow, have to get Cara to her Upward Bound deal for tomorrow.

Anyhow, still loving the iPad!!! That is all. I am sure that there is more that I could write about concerning crafts, and the garden,etc, but I can't think of anything just now. Oh, I did make shorts out of old work scrubs, for the parade. I plan on doing neat embroidery designs on them. That is a re purpose AND and craft using the supplies I have that I want to use before the end of the year. Also, also, also...oh, I forgot what my also was... Oh well...

That really is all, I'm going to go get the supplies I need for the shorts I can't actually move just now, Mini is laying on my legs...she is my dog! Lol

Cool Crocheted Bracelets

OK, so that is first. I think those are cool, and would go to my goal of using my craft supplies. I cannot yet do cool designs like that, but I want to learn, so...

Second, it is Friday! Tomorrow is Pride! Woohoo! I can't wait. Cara is bringing friends., I don't think that Marie is. Ro0bert will be at my moms, so I don't have to worry about him. Tomorrow night, smoke permitting, we are going to have fire time and put up the tent. If the smoke won't let us, then I guess we stay in the house, watch movies, etc?

Anyhow, I have a meeting in a little over an hour and I have a KILLER headache. I feel like I'm toxic? That is the best way to describe it, but that is not it. So, what the heck! I would say it is lack of caffeine, but I had a does of Excedrin this morning, so I don't think that is it. It's the smoke, I'd bet my last dollar.

Well, today I am going to start planning the trip to Denver! Woohoo! I might even put in for Christmas time off when I look at a calendar, but maybe I should wait till we go to Denver, and make the plans with family.

Anyhow, time to do... something, I'm sure!?

Wednesday the 7th and Thursday the 8th 2011

Didn't blog yesterday. Yesterday was garden day, but I was super busy. We have Okra, and LOTS of weeds. We need to weed. BADLY...Hope to get to it this weekend, but with the smoke we won't be to, it is really to breath out there, feels like the air is like 600 times denser than it should be, I guess it is... Sucks. Got some pictures the other night, that was nice. We are going to the Pride Parade this weekend, hopefully that won't be to bad. It is worse at night. We are having some kids over, Cara's friends mostly, maybe, they will go to the parade with us, and then back to the house to hang out and have fire time that night, and maybe sleep over in the tent. No outside activities if things don't clear up with the fire, and that doesn't look good : (

So, today is Re purpose or die day. Just read a blog about reducing ( to a level that I don't think I can handle... ) But I did take away something from it. My new goal is to use up all of the craft items that I have in my sewing suite ( AKA Garage ) by the end of the year. Items will either be used, earmarked for use, or in use by New Years Eve.

So, that is where I am. A friend of mine turned me on to easy to make reusable shopping bags. Think that I will try those out soon. I have lots of smaller pieces, almost not any good for anything, but like Gramma Miller's "crazy quilt" I bet I could make the panels out of  the same "Crazy" idea!

Lots of little make up purse type things too. Maybe some more of the banner/flag/wall hangings that Diane turned me on to? I made a flag for Pride! I need to mount it on a pole, and maybe make little craft cards that I can hand out when ( if ) people ask me where they can get one... ;)  Wouldn't hurt to make some money off of this kick... So I can get more stuff, lol!

Maybe Ill have stuff to enter into the craft fair? Or lots of Yule gifts to give away this year!

Anyhow, that is what I have up my sleeve today!

Well, it finally came to a head last night. She said hurtful things and I let her know that I never wanted to do any of the things that we did, that I did. That I made myself do them because I felt bad about what I did in the past. That I made her loose her own friend. But, let's be honest. She did the same thing that I did, for different reasons, and she threw that friendship away long before anything else started. She always complained about the friend. She usually treated him like crap. The last time I talked to him, which was long ago, a different life time it feels, he was fed up with her. But that is not the point. The point is that I told her, and today she is, mopey, for lack of a better word. And I don't know what to do about it, but I can't do anymore than I am. I try to make nice, I try to be cheerful, but every time she calls me, she ends up in tears. I don't know what she wants or needs from me, but I don't know how much longer I can be strong. I am tired for one thing. No big surprise there. I was up until past midnight, and I was up at 630, out of the house by 640. Holy crap! Speed demon!

I am looking forward to leaving early, but not to why I am doing so. I am looking forward to being free of work and business by 4:00, but not to what the night holds. Weeping and somber moods. No thank you. I don't want that. For anyone of us. And is the way of the world. She will be moody and I will try and keep the kids "out of her hair" in ways that makes me be short with them. I hope not. I don't want that either. No body does. So, I vow to try to be strong. To not let this "fantastic" upcoming afternoon bring me down.

Not looking forward to the therapy with Cara either. This is her deal, and I don't appreciate being brought in on it, be it her idea or the therapist. I think that I will work on getting the guts up to tell her so. That I will go today, but this is about Cara and she needs to learn to communicate with us, and that is what she is going there for. SHE. I have three kids, and she is the only one that needs me to be in therapy with her. I think that is a sign that SHE needs the therapy, not me?

Anyhow, I hate therapy. I have my reasons. Plus, as noted above, THIS IS HER DEAL.

Well, that is all, today is Tuesday, that means re purpose day. OK, so I made some planter tags out of old plastic dividers that I saved from my old job. They are the greatest things, the dividers, I used them last Christmas to make the covers to photo brag books that I made for everyone, and this year I will be adding photos to them. Oh, I guess we have craft day covered,  just kidding. Anyhow, I have not figured out how to post them in the garden yet, but I will work on that this afternoon, and hopefully, pictures to follow.

That is all for now, I feel rather dizzy and cloudy. I think that it has a lot to do with the lack of sleep and the smoke in the air. Terrible. I feel bad for people here in town, that have problems already and are suffering, and I feel even worse for those in harm's way. Such a waste...

Surprise surprise! I didn't blog at all this weekend. It has been a BUSY, yet boring weekend. There is a huge fire in Arizona and that is causing all kinds of smoke issues here. I have been so wiped out this past weekend. It was all that I could do to go to see Nana. I am wiped out now too. It is 2 hours until I am on a bus headed home.

A really cool think happened this past week, I got an iPad. Coolest thing ever and I am still learning all about it.

Anyhow, that concludes today's blog. I know that today is foto fun Monday, but I didn't take any pics this past weekend.

That is all, hopefully I will have more energy tomorrow!

Saturday June 4th

Holy cow it's been a long time since I blogged! I've been so busy with the stoopid weaterization guys. That is done, but it was a disaster. Electrician came and scared me! Set up the pool, babysitting the niece. Best thing ever, is I got a iPad! I friction love it! Today I have to go grocery shopping and to see Nana! She is finally back in her own room! We are bringing her chili dogs!

That is about all that I can think of right now... Oh, there is a terrible fire in Arizona and the smoke has settled her, it is terrible! Poor Arizona, poor pekoe with breathing problems everywhere else. I don't have breathing problems, and I am having a hard time. I have to go grocery shopping. Not looking forward to that! Ugh

Oh well, at least I have the iPad play with!!!
