So glad to be home. Had a great time seeing my family. The drive back, no so much. Even the drive out there was fun, anticipation maybe? Anyhow, I got LOTS of pics, of pics at Grammas. I need to go thru them all and see what I have to maybe put on Ancestry, or on my blog.

 

Either way, I am so tired today, I am sure that it is just recovering from the vacation. Ha! Why should you need to recover from a vacation?!

 

Today was a busy day at work, so I guess that could be part of it? I get to leave soon, get Robert, get buns, get my grub on, and then get my booty in bed! :)

Memorial Day Weekend 2012

Memorial Day Weekend, 2012

Spent Friday sleeping so that we could go get the car. There was drama surrounding that, and I am ashamed to say that I did not handle it as well as I could have, as I would have liked. 

Then, after loading the car, peeing, picking up Danielle, getting dinner, we're on the road. I texted My Grrrl at around 5:39, to tell her we were on the road.

We got there around 2:30. Lots of pee breaks, and one getting lost issue in Lubbock.

After an hour or so, everyone was in bed. My sister was not happy that she had to sleep with my gramma, the kids on the floor, and we on the couch. I was happy! 

Saturday, we had donuts for breakfast. I need to get a sticker from the box for my book! 

Danielle, the kids and I went to Fazolli's for lunch, took Danielle to get her nails done, the kids and I went to Target to get some stuff for Aunt Cherry to hang a picture they bought Gramma for Christmas. We also went to Pier One while we waited... 

Then, we took Gramma to go see Grandad an Uncle Danny's graves. Gramma got us lost. No worries, except Danielle got grumpy about it. We were in separate cars. We finally got there, and then Gramma couldn't find the graves. I went into ask. By the time I came out, they had found it. We spent sometime there, listening to Gramma. It was nice, but sad, especially the part where I found out that dad as was supposed to be there too... Kinda makes me mad. Viki won't share the ashes, she is remarried, why not let him be there, at least have a stone there. I think that it would mean the world to Gramma.

Now it is Sunday, I hope to get copies of pics today, and sit around and talk. Aunt Robbie will be by tonight, or so they say. Uncle Gary was by last night.

Danielle can't breath with all the smoke...she is grumpy, and negative. I can't say that I would be any better if I was in her shoes, but since, right now, I am not, I am not grumpy, so I notice it more... 

Today, I want to ask questions, with the iPad recording, we'll see if that happens... Now, I need to wake up fully,and get to visiting'... 

This might be the last time we get to see Gramma, that sadly means that it will be the second to last time I will see my aunts and uncles. I will see them at her funeral. Then, I have no extended family left. I don't count my moms side, and she knows why. Thank goddess for My Grrrl's family!

Tomorrow is Cara's 17th birthday. I cannot believe it... Today, I hurt my back when I got out of bed, or I slept wrong, something. I am in pain, I am better than I was, but I am in pain...

 

Today has been a hurry up and then wait kind of day. Lots going on, and all I want is to go home and be with those that I love. I want to go to bed early! I want to not break myself when I get up tomorrow morning! LOL

 

I have been listening to The Hunger Games, and working photos. I need to get them loaded into Picasa, and then we need to get them deleted from the computer. I have over loaded the poor computer with pics! :)

 

Anyhow, back to work!

Today I am WAY less foggy than I was yesterday. Last night I only took 1/2 of my pain meds, and that was before we went to Target.

 

This day has it fast and slow moments, mostly fast. I look down and it is way later than I think that it should be!

 

I started my Gramma Bishop's birthday gift today. I am embroidering her a gift. I also made a book of her family history, 4 generations back. Didn't think to put me and my sister, or my kids in it! Might have to add those pages!

 

Anyhow, back to the grindstone!

I have NO hints on Ancestry.com! WOOHOO!!!! Now, I can go back and research the closer members better.

 

Been here since 5:00 a.m. so tired...So ready to go home. Not sure what I want for dinner, something light, I know that for sure!

Happy Mother's Day!

Went to my sisters race. Lots of fun! Home now, out to lunch soon maybe, nice restful day. I want to get caught up on Game of Thrones. Tomorrow, follow up only teeth. Hopefully, it will be good, get the stitches out, and be on the road to recovery!

Feeling better, from my surgery. Not 100%. Still tired. Today we go see Nana, then Mother's day lunch with mom and Danielle, then Robert's family party, then rest! Tomorrow, Danielle's race at the base, then more princess treatment! Maybe I'll take My Grrrl to lunch 😍.

For now, time to get ready for the day...is the day ready for me!?

Down below 450 people with hints. Not sure if I will continue my Ancestry.com membership or not. If I can get down to no hints,then I can concentrate on researching the people in my tree. Starting with my and my dad's cousins. As hard as I try, I cannot get into wanting to look into my Mom's side.... Telling, no?

Day after surgery, I was just at My Grrrls Grammas for a few hours, while My Grrrl was busy. That was nice. Now I am home, boat out to rinse with salt water and off to bed for me. I am feelings better, but not 100% at all...

Haven't blogged in a while. Been busy. Weird Al concert was amazing! Was sick the next day. Adopted a kitty, Dentist tomorrow, nervous about that...Birthdays coming up, going to Gramma's for Memorial Day.

All in all, busy but good.
