Grasshopper...

This little guy was hanging out on the screen to the window that faces "the back 40". He was huge!

We all thought that he might be dead at first, because he didn't move for a long time!

Even when poked at!

This one was taken later than the next one, after the sun was not shinning on him anymore.

This one was taken earlier in the day, not much, but earlier. The sun was shinning on him, that is how he caught my eye.

He was just something new to photograph.

Baby Bird / Momma Bird

I took these pictures from the patio at my in-laws house in Denver. There was this nest in the tree right off the side. I had to get down low to get most of these. This was the trip that I really started looking at what I was taking a picture of, and trying to get different shots, and what not, not just point and shoot.

This one I got when the Momma bird was out and about, I couldn't get much closer, or any higher, to get the eggs better, but you can see a glint of blue there. Those are the babies!

I really enjoyed taking these pictures, because I realized that there was joy in taking pictures. Not just torturing the kids for the holiday card pictures!

Morning Moon

I took this picture the other morning. My daughters had left for school and my youngest daughter texted me that the moon was neato...I went outside, and yeppers, it sure was neato!

Funky Moods

Everyone at home is in a funky pissed off mood, all thanks to my
"wonderful mother's" visit earlier. From insulting projects were
working on, to accusing me of making my kids pick favorites over Xmas
gifts, slamming the gate, an yelling at me from the street. We are all
in a pissy mood now... So, thank you mom for the cloud hanging over
our home tonight...No wonder crappy nursing homes exsist. Gotta bust
out of this funk, if we don't, she wins...

My Art Gallery

Yeah for me! I hung my first 7 photos today! I hung most of them along
the hall to the back part of the house. I even got lights to go around
them. My grrrl and my 15 y.o.d. helped me put up the lights! I love my
hall! My grrrl is going to paint me a sign for "My Gallery"... Hehe!

Been Sick

Please excuse me for not posting for some time. I have had a sinus
infection, and been in bed for most of the last week. I am on the mend
now. Medicated and getting better. Still tired.
I can't believe how mucho have slept on the past few days! I wasn't
able to stay awake for more than 3 hours without being ready to head
back to bed! Been up since 8:30 today, it's 1:00 now, an I'm ready for
bed now! I hope to feel up to posting tomorrow with some vigor! I have
pics to post and updates on the bookcase door. My grrrl and I are
doing great, and there you go, semi-update...more tomorrow, I hope!?

Finally doin it!

Were taking back the Thomas Harris movies! Yeah us! First step on a
long and wonderful road together taking back our life! We've been
doing great and I'm so in love it's disgusting! Haha!
