Neato Bandito!

So, I made this neato "charging station" for my phone and iPod.

It hangs on the side of the night stand next to my bed.

It has a space for the cords to come in the bottom of the space for each item.

It has plenty of room for my phone in one,

and my iPod in the other...

Soon after I made this, I brought home my iHome charger,

so there is no need for iPod part, but I am sure that I will find something else

equally cool to do with that pocket!

This was all in the process of making our

"hippie house bedroom"

Flowers at My In Laws...

This is from the same trip as the Zoo...Still new to the camera, but loved to take pictures already.

This one is the cutest little flowers,

that is why I took their picture!

These reminded me,

and still do,

of a friend in Ft. Campbell Ky.

She loved to grow flowers,

and grew a ton of them,

her husbands terrible allergies be dammed!

Cute little flowers.

I actually made cards that Martha Stewart showed me how to make,

that looked like these babies!

Not a fan of pink...But pretty flowers, yes I am!

These cascading around were gorgeous!

I tried to get a good shot of the unopened flower.

I had yet to discover the "close up" setting!

There you have it. Flowers in Denver at my in laws house!

Denver Zoo Flowers

We went to the Denver Zoo in May of 2010 with my in laws.

We had not had our camera for to long at this point.

I was still learning it.

Cara was in a wheelchair, she is always broken somehow ;).
So, my Grrrl did a lot of the pushing of the chair,

while I did a lot of snapping pictures.

This is where I decided that I like taking nature pictures!

I just love the colors of the flowers against the leaves.

This picture doesn't do the real thing justice!

I am not a big fan of the color pink,

but a flower is a flower!

I love these, they remind me of a wedding!

Again, I was new at it, and so the colors aren't as vibrant in the picture as real life.

I was hoping to capture the different heights of all the trees in this area,

not so much..

Again, not a fan of the color,

but I like the way this flower is closing in on itself...

Ahhh, the contrasts in life...

I like yellow...

Not as much as other colors,

but I do like yellow.

Again, the wedding flowers.

Again, the yellow,

but these are brighter,

and somehow,

happier looking?

P.S. On a personal note, right now, I am in a high stress area, with high stress situations going on around me. I, myself, was highly stressed until I started this post. I don't know if it is the pictures, or the Blogging, or the combination of the two that has calmed me, but I am calmed...I enjoy this feeling. I enjoy knowing how to get to this feeling. I will keep it in mind!

On The Mend

Feeling better today. Not 100% yet, but better. Getting ready for
work, brushing my teeth, seeing spots on my shirt... So it's not just
seeing spots, my shirt is dirty! Haha, better than seeing spots...it
is just shirt, right!? Ok, well...1 more night then 1 day off, 2 days,
and 2 off. I think thatthis may be part of why this sinus infection
kicked my butt so bad, the strange changes...anyhow, 14 hours till Im
back in bed with my baby! Woohoo! I can do this shift with one hand
tied behind my back, although that will make it hard to crochet...

Now What!?!?

So, I got over my mothers visit debacle. Got to work, felt better. Started off as a good night, turned a bit crazy, drunk family members ( not mine, ha ha ). Got over hungry, tummy started to hurt, I got shaky...I ate, I was better. Did some more work, now, it's 5:45, and my head is KILLING ME! I took my meds. I took a daytime cold med actually, since I have all the other wonderful symptoms too.

I feel like I have a migraine. It hurts so bad! I just kinda wanna cry. I am currently eating a cup of soup, because I was hungry again. I have not had a soda since I got here...I had a giant soda from McDonald's. I wonder if it is caffeine with drawl? Doubtful since I took Exedrine with caffeine in it...

I hate not feeling better. I have been sick and in bed for a week now. I enjoyed the rest. I enjoyed how all of my wonderful family took care of me, but I want to be better. I hate being sick.

Well, my cup of soup was good, crackers in it, it was great. It is all gone now. I have my water. I am going to power through the pain in my brain for the next 2 hours. Pray that the meeting with my supervisor doesn't take long and get my booty back home to my baby and breakfast, my Tylenol 3 and bed! Flannel sheets. Good Grief I love my Grrrl!

Wish I Knew What Kind of Flower This Is!

My Grrrls Mom bought me this plant, I think that it was the 1st or 2nd spring that we had the house, so back in 05 or 06. I love it. I saw one like it in someones yard, and mentioned it to her, and BAM, I had one like that day or the next!

It's gorgeous and I love the pictures that I get from it!

This was early this spring.

This was a bit later in the season.

I love the blurry and clear areas in this one.

It is my favorite!

This is later in the season still.

Almost fall in this picture.
The color has started to fade in the flower,

and even in the leaves.

I love how there is just one lone sprig left.

It's like he's looking RIGHT at me!

This seems like he is upside down,

but it's just the camera placement.

This is the first one that I took, to scared

 at first to get closer. I got over that...

I just love taking pics of bugs in the fall.

They are to cold to move to much,

so I have more time to get good shots!
