Lots going on today! Actually cracked open one of the books that I checked out for family research it is , due in three days...I found some awesome free web sites. I have registered at one of them, and am happily plugging along. I found My Grrrl's paternal grandfathers entry in the S.S. death index! Wow! I have the fire back in the search for my family tree with these new resources!

Anyhow, that is really all that I have for today, I have to leave work early to take Cara for her cast removal, and I am not coming back in, so there you have it, actually have to work today! LOL

Then my awesome mother in law is coming over to make enchiladas for Cara's sports med pot luck! Lucky duck!

Tonight is Big Bang Theory! LOVE THAT SHOW!!! Friday is blood work, work work, basketball, maybe some Piggy's, if time permits, Saturday is running running, and taking Cara to the airport, nervous about that, but I know that she will do great! Sunday I am meeting my sister for lunch, recent development, last few minutes in fact... to discuss the holidays and our crazy mother... Then a short work week, the VACATION!!! Which sometimes is more work than work! But we strive to make it joyous! Even if it is just when we hide in our bedroom! LOL! Nothing dirty intended! Then another short work week, and the New Years Holiday weekend, and possibly a super hero movie marathon! WOOHOO!!!

OK, back to work, lost to do as I am leaving early!

Busy day today. Lots of meetings right now... Lots of food...ugh! I messed up and forgot to send a reminder to one of the people who needs to be here. Ooops

Early out tomorrow, Cara's cast removal, hopefully, if not, a recast.

Lots going on between now and next week when we leave. Ahhh, basketball games, parties, work, planning, laundry date, packing....

Well, I better go now, back to the grindstone. After my next meeting, I am going to hide in my office for my "lunch". Maybe I'll knit!

Hope My Grrrl is ok, she went to go to Urgent Care for her hips... Poor baby... I hope that she gets some answers, or at least a path to go down that will get her answers.

Today is rainy and the sort of day that I wish that I could be in bed with my baby and knit and watch TV, and doze!

My mentor just invited me to lunch, I am stoked! I am so sad to see her go, but yesterday, my boss asked me if I had applied for that job. I was blown away that she would even think that I was up to that standard! I told her so, she said I rock and I could totally do it... Wow, and the compliments just keep on coming! :) BIG SMILE!

Tonight is knitting class, I hope like hell some people show up, only have 5 RSVP's so far, 1 no, a three "maybe if the weather holds" which it won't because all of those ladies live in the mountains, better to be safe at home than here and sorry! However, the teacher said she will be there, she is even bringing some of her co-workers! I am hoping that she will have the time to teach me to purl. I am excited about that and I have NO FLIPPIN IDEA WHAT IT IS!!! LOL!

Tonight, My Grrrl and I are going to make a necklace for my mentor as a going away present, that will be nice I think she will like it! I hope that she will.

Anyhow, a few more things to get done before I go to lunch!

I can't wait for this week to be over! Is it wrong that I kind of want Cara to go live with her Dad, and I want her to go now? She is so draining sometimes. I love her, but if I cannot make her happy, and she thinks that her Dad can, then how would it be fair? Oh, I don't know, she is my favorite too, so I am really stumped, but I have gotten so used to going up to my room after dinner and such, and being available that way, but that is not enough for Cara, and that sucks... Grrr...

Oh well, My Grrrl is right, she has to finish out the school year here. Maybe that will be enough time for both of us to change for the better....I do want to be more available, I do want Marie to come under control and stop being a jerk, we all want that. I just don't know what to do, and I make grandiose plans and I cant keep them sometimes...I am just so tired and I need a break from all of them. What I would not give for a vacation, just me and My Grrrl...maybe next spring we can go away for the weekend to the cabin for our anniversary? That would be awesome! I will have to see about making that happen. I want to go to the cabin a lot with the kids, but just me and My Grrrl would be nice too!

OK, well almost time for lunch!

Monday December 12th, 2011

Happy Monday to all! Had a nice talk with one of my co-workers about ex-husbands. I thought that I had it bad.. Poor lady.

Anyhow, someone somewhere is baking cookies here in my area. WHAT? How is that possible? It smells so good! Tonight, My Grrrl and I are going to "get our hair did" we are going to frost our hair! Woohoo, quality time.

This weekend has been rough. Friday night, therapy with Cara, that SUCKED. Then a dinner with Cara, that was better. Saturday, running ALL DAY! Nana's pizza party, Oma Rea's tree decorating, Saturday night we watched a movie in the living room, but we didn't even make it through it. We watched Inglorious Bastards. It got boring, we bailed!

Sunday, I was up all freaking day, I watched Avatar with Cara and Robert. Then, football with My Grrrl, and then my game, which I lost... LAME! Knitting all the way!

Today, I found out that Cara will not have to travel that far when she changes plans on the way to Tennessee, I guess that I will need to do the way back too? If she is coming back. I have a feeling that she will decide while she is there that she doesn't want to come back. I have to say that I have mixed feelings about that...Don't really want to go into it, but I somewhat look forward to a "break" so to speak...

OK, back to work...
