Feeling better today. Not 100%, but better. Hard at work, and I have an excellent wife at home, who keeps making sure that I am OK. :) I can't wait to get back to her!

This weekend, The Hunger Games comes out on DVD, and I am going to get it at midnight, and we are going to watch it, because My Grrrl has not seen it yet. I can't wait to share that with her.

I have to admit that I have not stuck to my diet in the last two and a half days... Monday night, we had Dion's because I was so distraught. Tuesday, I had a left over slice for breakfast, but did good for the rest of the day. Today, I had a 1/2 slice of pizza, and for lunch, I am having the other 1/2. I will be good for dinner, and I will do the Wii step tonight. I enjoy it and it is a good calorie burner. Maybe we can actually go for a walk at a park, I would like that! Especially if it rains, or smells like rain!

Anyhow, not much else to talk about, I keep trucking, and I am trying to figure out how to go to see my Gramma and Aunt, and the rest of the fam damily for New Years. I don't know that it will work, since I recall that my Aunt and Uncle have a wedding to go to in January. Not sure of the date, so... who knows...

August 14th, 2012

Today sucks, but not as bas as yesterday did...I found out that my Aunt Robbie has Colon Cancer, and I was a wreck. I went home, and My Grrrl took care of me. I even got to blow off my diet and have Dion's for dinner! We went walking around Target, not enough to walk off the pizza, but still!

Today, still a wreck, but handling it better?

That is all for today. Prayers, or whatever you do, for my Aunt, her husband, and my poor grandmother, who has already buried 2 of her 4 children.

Blessed Be! (That is hard to say today..)

First day of school! WOOHOO!

Today, I have done well on my diet, I have not worked out as I intended, I wanted to get up early to do the Wii, but I was so beat when the first alarm went off, that I dismissed it! Didn't walk to the bus stop, I drove, since I had so much stuff to carry...And I still forgot my plant! :(

I had cereal for breakfast, and left over pasta for lunch. I am stuffed now! I did step for 10 minutes in my office, but since I kept getting interrupted, I gave up on it after 10 minutes! This afternoon, when my boss is in a meeting that she can't get out of, I will do some swivels, for lack of a better word... to work on my waist...

Anyhow, I did attempt the snow globe over the weekend... I don't have a picture of it, but I can tell you that the object that I glued into the lid, a plastic butterfly, is not very visible, since it is glued low... Maybe next time I will glue it to the bottom of the jar, and have that be the top? Also, I don't like the super glue I bought, it is to runny. I like the stuff we have at work better, is more "gelly"... Also, I put the glitter in the jar, and then I added the almost boiling water... Not the best idea... Let's see what else... Oh, the tutorial calls for glycerin, and I did not have any, it suggest that you can use mineral oil instead, but that the author had not done tried it herself... I did try it... It DOESN'T work. It clumps the glitter...

I did make a Clam Jar that I am happy with. I did use to much glitter, and maybe to much food coloring, but I really do love green, so...

Here is a photo of it.

I wanted to make these for Yule gifts, and I might still make a few, but I would have to use jars that I save from cooking, because that jar there cost $2.99. The glitter glue is on the expensive side as well. The bottle I got, could make 2 jars, and it was $5.00. The glitter that I added, was $2.50, and as I said I used to much, it could make 6 or 7 jars...the food coloring, we have a TON of that, so no worries there...

We'll see... Marie seemed to think it was neat, so maybe one for her and one for Cara...

We got all of the golf balls that we will need for another gift that is going to be made. My Grrrl will make that one! It will be super awesome, because she is!

That is all that I can think of for now. I want to make that foot soak for people as well, but I need to go shopping for that, and I have a growing shopping list for homemade gifts... I can, however, take off gold balls! Just took another look at it, and it is not that long after all! Maybe a few things at a time, but prep to make the items while I collect them...

I really want to make myself a skirt, that has nothing to do with Yule, just want it!

I am almost done with Robert's Dr. Who scarf, and Marie, I made her a scarf with the yarn that she loved so much. I need to make Cara a wearable pom - pom and I am done making things for the kids. The one to the adults. I hope everyone is OK with getting homemade gifts this year!

Blessed Be!

School starts tomorrow for Cara and Robert, and thank goodness for it! Today is my "day off" from weight loss, well, mostly just the work out part, for two reasons, one, I am worn out from yesterday, and two, I am in a delicate condition today...
I plan on relaxing, working on the snow globe and calm jar I bought supplies for yesterday, and maybe working on some Yule gifts... I also have to get my Dallas Cowboys sleeves done... I want to take some things to work today, that will make my diet easier, but I don't want to have to carry them all tomorrow morning!
That is all for now!
Blessed Be!

Day 4 of the diet...

Been doing OK, not great. Had a diet soda with lunch at the meeting yesterday, and a small slice of pizza. I took the entire meeting to eat it... I was proud of that! No walk last night, My Grrrl and I were both tired! I did take in to many calories, but I did well under on Monday and Tuesday, so I am not that worried.

When I lost weight for the work competition, I was not doing half as much as I have been doing this time. Granted it has only been 4 days... ;)~

No real soda, even though last night was a "FU*K THIS" kinda night, that is why I had the peanuts and pretzels that My Grrrl had left over from her trip! I did not, however have any soda, and I REALLY wanted to have some, and we had a fresh bottle up in the room... Could have easily asked for a little hit of that.. I even got ice, with no water, but I poured the ice into my cup of water when I got back to the room... Every little opportunity offers the chance to be strong. That was better in my head, but it came out OK!

Well, I better get back to it, I was in a groove!

Blessed Be!

Just another day in paradise... LOL!

Mostly, I just want to post today's socks! I have started a new scarf, for Robert for Yule... A Dr. Who Scarf. I think that he will like it. I have decided to make one gift per kid, and then some "thing" or another for Robert, and cash for the girls...

Anyhow, that is that... Easy peasy... Back to work now!

Blessed Be!

Wednesday, August 1st, 2012

I cannot believe that it is August already! School starts in 12 days! I am excited. Robert not so much, Cara, I think so, she will be a senior, so good for her!

I made a blog schedule, but I have lost it again! I think that today might have been preparedness update? I made a list of things to look for in second hand stores ( Goodwill and Savers as it were...) Second Hand Stores sounds so much more classy! ha! I also printed and starting filling out ID pages on each member of the family, so that in case one of us gets lost in a disaster...

So, on the mitten front... I sewed them last night. The first set came out OK, the ones that had the clean edge... The opening is bigger, but the form that they took is not as pleasing. The second set, well the opening is smaller, and I can hear stitches rip every time I put them on, but the form is nicer. I am not sure how they came out different? I was unable to add the running stitch I wanted to add, they just didn't lend themselves to it...

I plan to make another set, out of a blue sweat that I have, but I am not sure what changes I should make, so it might be a while with me sitting with the mittens sitting in front of me until they "speak" to me...

Today I have been watching all of the old episodes of ThreadBangers that I have in the computer, so that I can decide what to keep and what to toss...So far there are not a lot that I want to keep. I guess that is good. There are things that I want to make, but all I do is write down a brief description of what it is and I think that I will remember.

Well, I guess that is it... I could post the pics of the mittens, but they are not loaded on this computer... I will post them later...maybe, no promises!

Lastly, here are my socks for the day. I have decided that I am The Grrrl With The Crazy Socks!

Blessed Be
and
Happy Lammas!
