Martenslinde

Martenslinde is a village and former municipality in Belgium in the south (North Hesbaye) of the province of Limburg (Arrondissement Tongeren). Martenslinde in 1977 merged with the city Bilzen. It had in 1970 666 inhabitants. The zip code of the district is 3742. The area of ​​this district is only two square kilometers.

The parish church is dedicated to St. Martin. The choir's fourteenth-century. In 1892 the nave of the present church was built. In the church a new organ was then placed, a Pereboom & Leijser from Maastricht. In 1934 on the site of the old cemetery the aisles were added. The old tombstones (Nulens 1669) and Lemmens (1769) were removed from the church and at the rectory in the cemetery placed.

Historically, Martenslinde, Linne in the past, Lin popularly, depending Munsterbilzen and Bilzen. Only in the nineteenth century, during the French became an independent parish.

The Wilder Park with its ponds, partially territory Waltwilder situated, and the parish church are worth a visit, as well as the completely new school 'The Stop'. In the construction of this school in 2006, the old town hall in 1878 integrated in a beautiful new building.

Today is the last Monday in August! Not sure why that registered, but it did! I think it might be that my "shark week" is close, and so I am starving, that is why I noticed!

 

Today has been an interesting day so far, and I still have 2 hours! I have been doing good on my eating tody, but as I said, I AM STARVING! I hope that there is something yummy for dinner!

 

We are going swimming tonight, I am excited about that too!

 

I found some pictures of Martenslinde today! I found a church that says it is in Martenslinde. It looks familiar, and it is a darn shame that I will never see any of the pictures that my mother has of the village, since she is a selfish hoarder... That is worse that just a hoarder, she is a selfish one at that...

 

I might have some in the pictures that I found at Grammas in May? I will look later, it is worth a try!

 

I better go now, lots to do!

Another Sunday Wasted...

Going on 3 hours, they just got my van back... So much for my appointment time of 10:30 ...they better do a good job to make up for the wait...at least the idiot who can't stay off of his cell and is acting more immature than my 13 year old is not working on my van!

Today is my Aunt's surgery. I know in my heart that she will be alright, but I am still worried. My Dad told My Grrrl that she would be fine...My Dad died almost 6 years ago... This morning, he told me that he would be with my Aunt, so I am OK, kinda...

 

I am tired and sore... I worked out yesterday morning, and went for a nice easy hike yesterday. I am SO sore. Not giving up!

 

Not much to blog about today, a lot on my mind, so I really don't have anything I can get out.

 

That is all for today, if I hear about my Aunt, I will post that...

Holy Cow! Got up super early, did the Wii Biggest Looser... sweat like a crazy woman! It was harder today than last time. I need to make it a habit, and I need to keep track of what I am doing each time, making sure that I don't do the same thing each time...Today I did Core, Cool Down, and Yoga. Same as last time... Can't think now of what else there is.

 

Today's lunch will be half of my left over sammach, or maybe the noodles anc chunky soup that is left over? Hmm... We will see what strikes my fancy. It is 30 minutes until lunch, I took my diet pill, and I am STARVING!

 

Today has ben a busy day of boring things... I hope that we go for a walk tonight. I hope that the weather is nice again tonight, like it was yesterday :)

 

I better go get some more ice for my water. Working on glass number 5 of water, and I have needed to fill up and empty my tank a few times!

 

Tomorrow is my Aunt's surgery. I am worried, but I know that she will be OK, I am more worried about my Gramma. I hope that I can make it work to go there for New Years. I guess that I better put in for the time off...

Dinner last night was SO GOOD! It was even better today! I love the new rice! I love that I eat so slow that my last few bites are cold! I love that it was healthy, the dinner I enjoyed so much! I love that there will be less mint next time! ;)

 

I love that I can't wait to plan our next go at healthy meals!

Got the productivity done! WOOHOO!

 

Hunger Games comes out at midnight, need a nap before that goes down!

Today is my "Cheat" day, on my diet... I have had my quota of water...

 

I have spent the day watching 9/11 documentaries. The first two were about conspiracies... This one is about all of the good that was done by ordinary citizens... I like this one best, it is not trying to scare me, it is not making me sad(der than thinking about 9/11 makes me any ways...) it is uplifting... mostly.
